Welcome to your French 9 Final Exam.

This final exam is designed to show what you have learned throughout the course in listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and everyday French communication.

The exam is 90 minutes long and is worth 100 marks. It includes five sections:

Part A: Listening / Audio Comprehension
You will listen to short French audio passages or teacher-read scripts and answer comprehension questions.

Part B: Reading Comprehension
You will read a short French passage and answer questions using information from the text.

Part C: Grammar and Language Structures
You will demonstrate your understanding of key French grammar from the course, including adjectives, reflexive verbs, passé composé, object pronouns, question formation, and future tenses.

Part D: Written Communication
You will write a short paragraph in French using vocabulary and grammar from the course.

Part E: Speaking / Audio Recording
You will record or present a short spoken response in French. You will be assessed on communication, pronunciation, fluency, accuracy, and task completion.

Before beginning, review your notes on:

  • être, avoir, and aller
  • adjectives and adjective agreement
  • comparatif and superlatif
  • reflexive verbs
  • passé composé with avoir and être
  • direct and indirect object pronouns
  • qui and que
  • question words and inversion
  • futur proche and futur simple
  • family, routines, personal introductions, past activities, and future plans

Use your time carefully, read all instructions, and check your work before submitting. Pay attention to accents, spelling, verb endings, adjective agreement, and sentence structure.
